I had a 4 day orientation at Melton. Of that 4 days, we spent about 6 hours doing hands on securement. I too thought that was a bit short, but its not all that difficult to figure out. 9 out of 10 times, I load with other Melton drivers and all have been willing to offer advice. Melton provides a securement handbook covering the loads we pull, a DVD series on load securement, and videos that are saved to your Qualcomm. There is no guess work, if you don't know the answer, there is always a way for you to find the answer immediately. Safety is only a phone call away as well.

I admit, I was a little nervouse about securement when I started, but its all common sense.

NO SUCH THING AS TOO MUCH SECUREMENT!!!!!
