    Delivered to the golf course on Fort Carson. Got done and my 70 had run out. Problem there is that, due to Labor Day I have nothing coming back. The following day I get 8 hrs back, but if I wait until 0500 I have a full 70; picked that one. So much for a productive week! However, the course manager has graciously made the maintenance building facilities available so I can get a shower, do laundry and take care of other business. Always a silver lining to the most negative situation.

    Getting on post this morning, every commercial vehicle was being stopped, occupants had to get out, all doors had to be opened and they were mirroring the undersides of the vehicles. I got there and gave the MP my TWIC and retired military ID card. He took a quick look, handed them back and then popped a smart salute and waived me through. First salute in 20 years. Caught me so off guard I returned it. How stupid.

    I do plenty of government runs and every time I've been on a base since last year the search has been exactly how you describe above. It's not arbitrary ... every civilian vehicle entering is searched in the same manner.

    Not worth it , it will reflect worse on you if you really do it and it won't change anything.Best to learn what they are all about and understand so you know what to believe and what not to , thats not a melton thing either - thats all DM's at most companies.
    Still it didnt happen so everybody is safe lol

    I stopped for Fuel /shower and food at Jamestown NM Pilot( 20 miles east of Gallup ) and met a driver who is unloading in Gallup Tommorrow at 7 am so I am going to see if they will have him repower it and cut me loose, its a long deadhead for me like 350ish but it would be the same from L.A which I have done before to go home at Melton and he would probably get deadheaded to El Paso anyways.

    I'm outside Bakersfield right now. Picked up at GAF in Stockton. Headed to GAF in Ontario as soon as I get my hours back.

    Noggin told me yesterday that we have nothing coming out of the LA area... Can't tell if he's pullin my leg or not. Either way, I hope to be home Thursday evening.

    We pick up at mini blinds in cardboard crates and metal tubes in L.A. not to mention stuff off of the shipping containers from overseas , I had a load of minblinds last time I was there , that wasn't fun to tarp- long load to Austin then Houston . 2 dropper , either way its not the load that sucks its getting in and out of L.A. without sitting in traffic forever. I could be home tommorrow or as late as Sat./Sunday it will depend on the repower situation at this point. Stuff happens though so I am just going to see how it works out
