I have been driving for two years as a company driver. First year for a mid sized company and second for one of the major ones. I am in the Army reserves and had trouble getting home so I randomly changed companies. I am currently in Afghanistan and will be home soon. Because of my schedule, I am not sure if owner/operator would be a better fit for me. I live in south Mississippi out of a major freight lane unless I pull something out of a port with my twic card. And yes, I have tanker and hazmat.

Check SVTN in Saraland,AL. SVTN is the website also.
If you're still doing the monthly drills, being an 0/0 might work best with the intermodal. Maybe pick up a used tractor from Schneider or another company with good used fleet tractors. Schneider probably has the cheapest. Melton Truck Lines has nice used tractors, but they will cost a lot more than Schneider. Pulling intermodal, you don't want to be in too deep on tractor financing if you can't pay cash.
