Yep was a very short meeting, as I was running behind. Hopefully next time the meeting will be much longer. If so I'll buy dinner Pete. :yes2557: You know you brought up about not hearing about my little brother, well just as I pulled into the salt mine he called. He was stuck in traffic due to a bad wreck in Dallas. I posted that in the Truck Accidents section... http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...ality-lbj-freeway-near-marsh.html#post3530313

Well I've been a bad boy... I got a log violation (from company not DOT). I messed up concerning the 30 min breaks. I took them just logged a hair too late. So I'm on probation. Then just 1 mile away from the shop, I get stopped by DOT cop. I know this guy, and he knows my wife, and that she was currently working at the local sheriff's office. I was coming down a railroad overpass, letting the jakes hold the truck, and got nailed for 62-55. This is an old 2-lane county road, which about 50 yrs ago was US-50 hwy. He only warned me, but it's on the darn inspection sheet. Heck most all traffic on this road runs at least 65 if not 70. But no excuse for me.

Finally back at the shop, I get a steer tire replaced, and discover that I have a fairly bad oil leak under the hood. The mechanic asks if I forgot to put the oil filler cap back on at some time. I told him I just started driving it and have never pulled it off. So they investigate and find that it may be due to defective clamp for the blow-off, which is by the head gasket??? So tomorrow I run to KCMO, unload the salt, then run back to Emporia to the KW shop. O goodie. I think I'll ask them to put my name on one of the chairs in the driver's lounge.

Oh Dear God! PLEASE don't let me find out that they got rid of Rolland the Dispatcher!
He isn't perfect by ANY stretch of ANY imagination.
But today Greg was Dispatching. He won't do the text to me instead he calls and expects me to be ready to write. And he makes Rolland seem like a Saint!
4 delivery tickets. 1 minimum run to the airport. 2 tickets to Manchester 1 for 76x# and one for 98x# . And one run from Pasadena to Baytown with 400#

I know WHERE to pick up in the morning. I have no earthly idea what size or weight I'm picking up.

If Rolland is gone and Greg is full time I might REALLY have to go elsewhwere........
