Where Are You....continues........

Coming out of Chicago Monday night at rush hour a straight truck driver decided he should be in my lane. Scratches down the fender, some cracks around the headlight and bent the round mirror support. Only a couple hours of bonus time yesterday.

 

My boss would never audit our logs...he knows better

 

@ home. Have had a lucky break with the sale of my truck. The potential buyer that I sent additional pics and info to has made an offer on the truck conditional to inspection. I was happy with the offer and will be meeting him Saturday for him to eyeball and test drive the truck. I got a temporary 5 day permit for the test drive and have the truck nicely cleaned up ready to go. I'm not going to count my chickens before they hatch but I'm hoping he buys it. It would be nice to sell it on the week of my birthday ( my 32nd birthday is tomorrow).

 

Brooklyn....the one in Iowa. Deliver in Joliet tomorrow at 1300.

 

3 today. A 3,800# Hazmat tote from near Busch Brewery to Fresno, TX. A 402# crate from SDV to United Airlines and 2 boxes and a pallet from FMC to SDV.

I was asked (all in caps) did I want to go out of town. Where I said. New Jersey he said. Found out it's a 14,000LB 14' Gooseneck going. Pays 4K. Picks up tomorrow delivers Monday morning.
If I had a sleeper cab and took a lot of food with me heck yeah I'd do it! But I am not certain my truck is up to such a journey. And eating and sleeping would eat up much of that money left over from fuel needs.

I am thinking to decline. A day or two out maybe. But not from Thursday to next Wednesday or Thursday!
