OK its just a 4 wheeler But this has to be the worst securement job I've ever seen.

The rear chain is the type you might use to hold a fence gate closed, or for perimeter marking at an amusement ride. The front "Strap" was loosely tied around the center of the front rail. No binders, everything was lose and flapping in the wind. The video doesn't do it justice. I just couldn't believe this was on the road.
As I came up on him, I didn't see any kind fo tie-downs or chains or anything it wasn't until I was right on top of him did I see them. Might as well have just parked it on there and left it.
Thought you guys might appreciate...

Sadly, I see the same thing daily. There are a lot of clear chains being used, and I have yet to be able to find them for sale.

Driver that tractor is trained to stay up on that trailer like a cow dog is on the back of a hay wagon! That guy drives that tractor up there and puts the strap over it and the rear chain where it is without tightening anything he drives up and down that same stretch of road everyday, it has never fallen off so why worry about it doing it now? One sudden change in speed and away the tractor goes. I hope I don't see this guy! Drive Safe.

people misunderstand securement. I saw a guy the other day hauling tractors with one chain pulling from the hitch to the left side of the trailer and one chain on the front pulling to the right. I thought his other chains had fallen off and called him on the cb. He says, "What makes you think they fell off ?" I says, "well, there's one pulling to the left, but not one on the right". he says, "that's how I chain them...". mmmkay, well if you drive right you CAN haul with no securement 99% of the time, it's that 1% that gets you. People seem to think that if they get it there once or twice that means they must have secured it okay. The securement isn't for getting it there under normal circumstances, it's for getting it there when some moron cuts you off and you have to brake suddenly or dodge a kid running into the street or something. that's why you secure.
