Mounting a Flatscreen TV in the truck

    I want to get a 32 inch flatscreen. Maybe overkill but I don't care. I was thinking of getting a flat screen mount, like the one I linked below, and jerry rigging it somehow to mount on the cubby holes above the passanger seat on a 2013 prostar. Now, looking at the way that mounts, and knowing that I am a company driver and they frown on me permanently disfiguring my truck, how would you guys do it? I was thinking some jerry rigging system where I mount that flatscreen holder to short blocks of 2x4 then c-clamping it onto the cubby holes. Any ideas on this? If any of you guys have done anything similar and can tell me what to do, or even show me pictures of what you've done I would be very appreciative!

    I've got a 30" in a cascadia. Have a swivel wall mount that has a slot in the back and slips right over the vent handle. Never had a problem with it falling or causing any damage to the vent handle its pretty sturdy.

    My previous Volvo I built a 1/2 wood "wall" at the end of the bunk and spring mounted same swivel wall mount to it. Very good setup and working on a new one for the new truck. Couldn't use the old one because the deminsions at the end of the bunk aren't the same as the Volvo. Each end to the wall have bookends screwed to it with "feet" on them cut at a 45 kinda like the backside of a dam to stabilize the wall and that plus the spring mounting minimize vibration to the tv while moving. Nothing fancy just effective. If I get a chane I'll pm you a pic of the old setup a little later

    So its mounted in your sleeper? I was thinking of mounting mine above the passenger seat up front facing back. There are 2 cubby holes I could use to rig up some sort of support system, but I am worried about the weight The 2nd mount I posted looks fairly simple and fairly sturdy, I just need to find a way to jerry rig it. I am not allowed to have any "visible" screw holes in my truck.

    Yeah I've got mine in the sleeper. Antenna and power connections are back there and i dont realky watch it unless im back there anyway. Saved from having to extend the cables any as well. Nowhere really I could have permanently mounted it in the front in either truck and I'm just not interested in moving it day to day I just mounted it permanently......but easy enough to remove if I'm on vacation or change trucks

    With the regulation requiring a 10 hr sleeper berth break there is plenty of time to relax and watch the boom tube as most people can not sleep for 10 hours straight.

    The way my truck is set up, I can't find a convenient way to put a 32 inch tv in the sleeper. anything smaller is madness!
