Does anyone have a link to the video? The original doesn't work.

You can thank that good old training that swift has to offer to prospective drivers. The Blind leading the blind
-
You can blame the driver all you want. And he deserves it. But, part of running a business and being the boss, etc is that your decisions aren't without consequence. That LLC, Corp. or Inc. doesn't mean you get to do whatever you want because it benefits you at the detriment of others.
You wouldn't hire a meth head juggling steak knives to babysit your child. Regardless if it is 'their fault' that something happens to said child. But when money overtakes morals, you get what is in the video.CenutryClass Thanks this. -
This is brilliant. I realize an old thread, but saw it in the right margin and couldn't resist.
What you don't see in the video is just how deep in poop this driver had to get in order to crash into that bank parking lot. Just being curious, I google-mapped that location just to see the predicament that driver was trying to fix. It's even worse when you see the location. Had he continued another 1/4 mi across US-222, there was a Lowe's and Giant grocery plaza on the right with ACRES to turn around in.
So now take a look where he ended up after making that left into the business park with the bank in back. He had to enter a dead end road with a turn-around at the end right before entering the rear drive thru that it would appear he crashed into. Out of 4 possible business/parking lots besides the cul-de-sac, 2 of which were perfect to turn around in, he took the absolutely worst one that was the least visible and hardest to reach.
If I had to guess, I'd say the driver was looking at his GPS and thought that bank driveway would get him to the side street just beyond the drive-thru curve. Which could have worked, at the expense of some landscaping and over another curb, had he not already blown some trailer tires running over the stop sign in the traffic island on the way in as well as going too fast.
Gotta admit - those banks have some great camera coverage LOLNavigatorWife Thanks this. -
Swift will deny the whole episode. They are self insured. I witnessed a swift truck hit another at the stop light/left turn lane by the Ontario TA truckstops, the driver then changed places with the trainer, The company that swift hit was having trouble getting paid for the damage.

That is why google maps is so good so you can see the area where you are going some. Of course this doesn't help if you get off on the wrong road and then try to correct it. It was probably a rookie too that got flustered, but why the speed.
