HAHAHAHA.... Funny thing... I have to look in my paper log to see where I was and when... I don't remember krap anymore....
I was in Aurora, NE.... Have been running at night only... Started around 3 am this morning... See a lot of animal haulers at nigh...Now at "Ozarkland"... I mean, I am at a Petro in MO. There are 4 truck stops at this exit. I went to a big store across the street to check it out... Lots of industrialized art craft and other interesting stuff. Taking my reset!!! Yeah!!! Will resume trip on Sunday and park at another Love's near receiver in TN (if I find a good spot). Delivering on Monday at 6 am and will have 63 available.... but will have to go to terminal in OK next week for PM and tires. So far, so good. Except for this darn Peoplenet Elog that drives me NUTS!
Doing my paperwork now... A LOT of notes to make, mileages in each state... I let accumulate... gotta catch up with a lot now...
Where Are You....continues........

ROCKS, you're comments about Peoplenet are not very encouraging to me. We also have Peoplenet, and were told that by the end of this month we'll be using Elogs. I know the thing is a royal PITA just to enter our fuel purchases. The virtual keyboard wants to flicker, and move around.
TA PETE, You going to start drivin' a skateboard? No more sittin' around waiting on critters to expire, just waiting on loads.
Not much this past week. Just rock, kiln-dust, a load of Haydite (New Market), and salt. Home for the weekend, preloaded with salt for KCMO. -

I started my day by delivering soap to my Dad's customers. Just as I was about to go get 9000# in deepest darkest Houston and take it to La Porte I get a message to go to Freeport and scoop up 9 drums and bring them back up near the airport. That put me free again at 16:15. At 16:27 I am told to go to a place that closes at 5, get docs, pick up at Cargolux and take it back to that place. I arrived back at that place at 17:35. There were people standing around and I kind of unloaded on them. Then I called dispatch and he said to tell them who ordered this and why. And I told them I was sorry I was such a grump. And they actually unloaded me. Then as I hit the truck stop dispatch calls and asks me to do him a favor. When he told me where it picks up and where it goes and gave me a choice I said I'd rather not!
So I only did two. But Freeport paid pretty good. -

HEY EATON... I guess each co. "customizes" their Qualcom or Peoplenet any way they want... there are different models of these machines also. I think my co. uses a "cheap" Peoplenet model. It doesn't have all the features shown on the user manual. And the thing is sooooooooooo sssslllllooooowwww....
Not my style...
Screen totally freezes up the very second the truck starts moving and once the truck stops, I have to wait over one second, sometimes 2 or 3 or more for screen to unfreeze.... then, if I want to change my status to... lets say "off duty", gotta click on "Duty Status", wait a couple more secs...then click on "Off duty", wait a few more seconds....
Then click on "OK"... and wait a couple more secs to make sure it shows my off duty status... And sometimes I click "OK" but machine doesn't register...
When that happens, I have to call co. and ask them to "fix" it for me.... cause drivers can't edit anything...
Sometimes I feel like :smt067this thing.... but co. already told drivers... this "nanny-box" costs $ 1,700.00... So, better be gentle with it...
I will call Peoplenet folks and ask if they can reset this thing or do something to make it a little faster.... but I wonder....Last edited: Oct 11, 2013
Giggles the Original Thanks this. -
I'm sure you're using the same thing. They just upgraded ours to the Blu2 http://www.peoplenetonline.com/blu-2-new. It is very slow. Boss also told us that they cost him $1700 per truck. They only thing I like about the new ones, they can be seen and read with sunglasses on. The old screens could not.

Eaton, the only convenience this one has is that I can read the location and state while I am driving... Yes... the manual I have here is Blue.2 but the machine doesn't have all the features shown on the manual. None of the function buttons for instance, work...
And I have to take 3 or 4 steps to accomplish something that would take one or 2 with old Qualcom... This version here is 1.11.7.12 I heard that most drivers in this co. hate this thing.... But co. loves it cause DOT doesn't bother us using Peoplenet elog.... They know it's practically impossible to "play" with it...
I don't care how much DOT and co. love this... I may not be able to endure it too long...
Shall see...
Taking my over 34 at a Petro in MO. Will leave at 5 am.
Woke up last night with the clear impression that some truck had hit the rear of my trailer.... I was sooo disoriented.... got dressed in a hurry, grabbed my flash light, turn the running lights on and ran outside... walked around truck but didn't see anything abnormal... Was it a dream????No... I really felt the truck bouncing and I heard the noise... Walked around truck this morning again and didn't see anything or any damage at all.... this is weird... But I am thankful nothing is damaged...
teddy_bear6506 and Giggles the Original Thank this.
