    Hey OhioHotshot,

I live in Fort Wayne, and I'm very interested in learning about FCC. Please message me when you have the opportunity, so I can learn about who to contact about working for them. Thank you for your time.

Hello there ccsogator, I almost sure the Ft Wayne dedicated is full, but is probably a regional position open, could be a good deal for a ft wayne resident though, as us dedicated guys bring loads out of Pa and drop them in the Ft and a regional guy hooks and deliverys them n the midwest areas, that would be premo for you... I see you have less then a year experience. I think u need at least 2 or 3 years before the will even consider you...

Blackcloud wats up... I worked there 7 months ago... wasn't to bad real helpful people especially if you have never done bulk work before.. I only stayed 6 months cuz I wasn't really making any money... to much local and was hard to get out in the system! They didn't want me to leave and I could go back if I wanted to. Far as your area I couldn't tell you honestly... if u like a challenge n a lot of in and out the truck to run the trailer in rain, sleet n snow go for it.. if not don't apply!

Thanks cutty they said that one of the dispatchers from up in Columbus just moved down here to be the terminal manager they said they where loosing most of their drivers up that way to Estes express. I'm currently making about $62000 a year but having to drive a 100 miles back and forth everyday to do it so if I could make that over there and be home on the weekends I would be content do u think this is possible with them?

Heres my 2 cents blackcloud I worked there for almost 7yrs, you wont make that kind of money running local work, unless you can get 3 to 4 loads a day every day, and thats highly unlikely, If u hit the system and stay out you can make that if not close to it, but remember this is a physical job that requires climbing and stooping under railcars and trailers, and dragging heavy hoses, sometimes on top of railcars to blow back if you overload the trailer no matter what the weather brings, good luck .....

Thanks cutty and ohiohotshot. Cutty that guys name is Kevin and the position I'm applying for is regional a lot of going out and back like 200 to 400 miles one way. I thought maybe with that and the load and unload pay and detention pay it might pay off. What about the home time guys do they believe in getting u home every weekend?

Yeah I tried calling Kevin myself, but he is off until next Monday. I live in Paris and I talked to a lady in Morris that was very nice, but I think I need to talk to him before I decide.

Well blackcloud getting you home shouldn't been an issue, but if you have been in this business long enough you know that 200-400 miles pretty much equals east coast and north east midwest and the south, if you hit the road be prepared to hit the road.. Just saying everything that glitters isn't gold and that also goes for the trucking industry also, happy travels...
