Exactly, its a perk for the office people in Lincoln.

Its a perk for all employees, including the drivers not just office staff. Instead of paying astronomical amounts to send your kid to in state college and live at home they offer a full scholarship to a big named college. How dare they offer their employees such a thing for the kids futures. Let your kids go be a cornhusker and quit crying. Atleast they offer the deal to foot the bill. Most others say good luck and don't even offer a percentage in helping pay for college tuition or expenses for their employees or kids. I can't believe so many people are complaing about this like it is a horrible idea or a total slap in the face like they are showing some kind of favortism. I would do it in a heartbeat if I could still drive trucks and worked for Crete and my kids were old enough. But now with a broken spine in 3 places and slowly going paralyzed from thevwaist down, Ill have to figure out how to send mine off while on disability. So get off your high horses and quit bashing a company that cares to enough to offer such an upstanding deal for all employees.

Given the current costs of even in-state colleges, ANY tuition assistance is a good thing! My oldest is currently attending the local community college on MY dime. I would WELCOME tuition assistance from any company. College is usually a kid's first big adventure when they travel away from their parent's homes. Nebraska is on par with any other state school.

Is it a full scholarship or just the typical $1000 type. If it's the latter, that is a crappy policy from a carrier that hires nationwide. The out of state tuition differential would be more that the scholarship.

Oh for the love of Pete! You people really take the cake. If a ray of sunshine was to hit your pitiful existence you would complain about getting sunburn! If you don't want the $5000 for tuition then guess what....don't friggen apply!

The OP has about 41 posts and over half of them are against Crete in some way. He got all butt-hurt about something while at Crete and now he's starting these ridiculous threads to extract some sort of revenge in his own pathetic mind. HAHA terrific for you medina58...bravo! Feel better now :smt056

If there's a company, someone loathes it.

I couldn't ask for a better company to have gotten my start at. Sure beats making peanuts per mile at Werner or Swift...

    TheJrodTest and truckinmike1984 Thank this.
