Oh those clowns are everywhere. Its not in NJ at all, its that dealership in Gulfport MS who always has the huge ads in Truck Paper hard copies. As for the truck, it probably has either ridiculously high miles or major mechanical issues. Those go for double that price around here.

"Needs a little work" is code for needs engine overhaul, new transmission, and new brakes/tires all all around.

Notice the word I highlited, "INOP", or short for inoperatable. I would guess all kinds of problems from end to end.

American Showroom Buys these in bulk and then lease to own, this truck was part of a deal and this was a cull that they got in the deal.

American Truck Showroom has it's own server over at Ripoff Report. Literally a thousand reports on them. The company is in its 4th incarnation (that I know of), they sell a LOT of salvage titled trucks, engage in predatory lending, and have been sued more than The White Star Line. They have been know to repo a truck the week after it is bought. Those guys are the lowest form of crook. The state of Mississippi AG has a huge file on them dating back to at least 2002.

If you buy with cash and understand the entire truck will need an overhaul, things will be ok. Just make sure the title is not a salvage.

Personally, I would not take a dump on them. Drop about 50 Mk82's on them oh hell yeah!

Want a cheap truck try Don Baskin in Tennessee.
