Is it realistic 2500 miles a week, with less than 800 free miles added in?

    NO.

Realistically, you drive 2500 miles, 1250 are empty.

I took one out to California in March last year. Pay was around 1.40 per mile. Had a back haul mentioned at 1.00 per mile to Wyoming in a snow storm.

Went home empty. After all, cost of operating the truck is the same whether east bound or out to California.

4wd dually recommended or it does matter just as long as its a 1 ton

People haul with the 3/4 ton and single wheel 1 tons.

I suggest the dually. I have done it with a 2 wheel drive dually. My current truck is a 4 wheel drive. I would not go back.

So its clear you have to run year round, to provide simply knowing you avr giving up 1/2 your miles, just need to be smarter during the meatier times to balance the leaner times

You have to treat it like a business. Many on here will state you cannot make it.

Yea just like the many of Installers who have worked for me over the past yrs in the flooring world...Many are good mechanics but fail at the business end...So I fully understand the business side, which I why I can see Camping world being a solid player to one who understands business in general, but not transport savy if you will

Might you stop and think about this.

Why would someone with 10 years experience not consider them?
