Anyone on the forum here hauling in Labrador ? Mining ? Hydro Electric ? Logging ?
I hear CAI is moving a lot of cans and Mods from Goose Bay wharf to Muskrat Falls. That means construction must be starting this winter/spring ?
How's the work ? How's the pay ? I hear accommodations are a real problem right now (shortage) until the site camps are set up. Is this so ?
I'm also hearing that most of the Trans Labrador Highway is now paved ?
Just curious about all this, is all.
Cheers

Labrador-Don't they refer to it as "The Land God Gave to Cain"?
-
I guess that depends ..... are you into hunting, fishing, ATV'ing, sleding ...... If Cain was, then he's laughing !

Good point!-I grew up in rural Alaska in the Territorial days and spent most of my working life in the far north. I left Alaska and moved to America about 3 years ago-miss the far north-I think I would like Labrador-probably like Alaska USED to be!
Speedloader Thanks this. -

........... heard today that they are starting job forums and interviews in early Jan '14. Camp operations and drivers to begin with (cooks, cleaners, shuttle and can drivers)
-
BTW-I found a book titled "The Land God Gave To Cain" by Hammond-Innes-it's about Labrador and takes place around a construction project-reads like it was set in the 50's, so not much useful information, but a good story anyway!

Anything in the book about the James Bay project????

CAI asked me if I'd head up there, but they don't have enough $$$ in it to make it profitable in my view.
