@4noReason theres more work involved with this job versus pulling a box, thats the 1st thing you need to understand. Second is that, this job isnt for everyone, out of five hired 1 might make the cut, Not trying to deter you from the job but if your mechanically inclined and can think fast on your own you will do ok. As far as home time you live in Ill you should get home on the weekends if you take regional, hit the system and your looking at 2 weeks out... Good luck

[Qwider12345;2782558]Good eryone.home will be starting with them here in a few weeks after my son is born and I have some time with him and my wife. Seems like a pretty good group. Any new updates on home time and stuff like that?[/QUOTE]

I have been reading up on the post about A&R and must say I have been driving for some time myself,
I took a job with them and I am a pretty good judge of when people are full of it and what I see of A&R they have gone down hill,
They only care about what their making not the drivers.
The equipment is falling apart and there is little concern with fixing it,
They dont keep their word on pay or home time.
They will tell you that your going to be home a couple times a week and make over 60,000 a year and off weekends.
Or if you want to run the system you'll make over 70,000 and be out during the week and still home weekends.
I know that you will fight to get freight and if you're out on the road you'll spend your time running 200 to 350 miles a day and 6 hours loading and unloading, and if you run monday to Saturday you may only bring home 800 or 900 before taxes.
I would have to rate A&R at a 4 out of a 0 to 10 worst trucking jobs at this point with 0 being the worst.

    10speed55 Thanks this.

don't know what happened there. I replied with a quote and stumped post showed up as if I posted it?????? any way I was offered a job with A&R out of the charlotte terminal last week, caught the guy in 2 lies while talking to him so I said no thanks. they raised the pay if your loaded and lowered it if your empty. 44 cents loaded and 29 cents empty I thought that was strange.
