Trying to find broker freight with steady freight lane from NW to NE back to NW. Been running potluck for about 7 months now, and I know the money is better this way BUT I didn't buy a truck to play broker 4-6hrs a day. If anyone has any contacts let me know please, just looking for steady out and back lane! Have a 53' Dane with a TK on the nose, old JCT rag.

The west to east will pay more than the east to west. If I was going to do this, I wouldn't even bother looking for too long for a decent paying east to west load. You would likely make more by doing multiple short hope back to the west where you can get your long decent paying load. If anyone does happen to have a lane they get paid well on from east to west, do you really think they are going to tell you who to call? "Hey man, I haul for this guy and he pays me this much, but please, don't call and underbid me by .05 per mile!" See?

Yea I know its less going back to the east, but I just need consistent more over big bucks. As for sharing info and underbidding someone, I don't want the price they haul it for, just names of people with a solid consistent freight lane. Right now running the north is gonna pay good anyways, all of our fair weather buddies are down south fighting over freight instead of the snow! Appreciate the insight and advice nonetheless though!!

Sharing info on good paying east to west freight is like getting someone to tell you their PIN number to their bank accounts. They probably ain't going to do it.Keep looking, and try putting those shorter loads together heading out to the left side of the map. It might take a little longer to get out there, but at the end of the month you will see it pays off.

Long hual freight is getting killed by trains, but its still there. Once the panama canal is expanded, it will be the nail in the coffin

Ya gotta love it---been hearin this since I was born it seems like--only thing the canal will do is change IMPORT movement--Not gonna change a thing in Time sensitive FRESH FOOD--railroads cant handle it--never have--never will--Tried--failed miserably
Ever wonder why all those train tracks are out back at the holding area at the Point? Yup the Iceburg express--the RRs Last brilliant idea--and how much govt money did they get to lose thier ### on that---
Although it has boggled my mind for quite a few years why any dry non perishable freight is done any BUT intermodel anymore--but that is a whole different ballgame....
But then again this is the REFRIGERATED FORUM
    Jus sayin
