    Prairie Boy-The project which served as the backdrop for the book was the construction of the QNSX rail line from Sept-Iles on the Saint Lawrence to Labrador City. He wrote the book in 1958.

    CAI apparently lowered their expectations a lot to fill seats at the last minute. They must've undercut the other bids a lot. I heard there weren't even places to get a shower or a meal !! Not sure about now, but not that long ago, a box of Froot Loops in Goose Bay can run you $12 !!!!
