Hello everyone. I just got my own truck and authority and have being running with a 53" reefer from a friend of mine. It is quite old and heavier than a dry van ( I am not sure the weight difference), and I am wondering how much would cost me to rent or lease a decent dry van per month. What would be the difference in price between rent or lease to own? All feedbacks are appreciate and all reference to where and who to go as well.
Drive safe and be happy...

IT,
You should be able to rent a Trailer there in DFW, That way you can go from van to reefer if you need to, You can stay above board when it gets slow with your choice of trailer. Good Luck.bigbyrc and InternationalTrucker Thank this. -
You should be able to rent a dry van from $300-600/month. There are a lot of trailer dealers around the metroplex. I am sure you can find something that will work.

I know you said you want to rent but you can buy a good used van for pretty cheap. I've seen very good vans for sale for $4000-6000 in Texas. Wouldn't take long making rent payments to have that much into something you don't own. It's also going to be kind of tough to find a rental this time of year until after the holidays I think.

You might be able to buy an older trailer for as little as $200/month, if you can't afford to pay cash. I have seen trailers for as little as $3,500-6,500. I would try to find one that has logistics posts unless you plan on only hauling light loads.bigbyrc and InternationalTrucker Thank this. -
The money you spend monthly on a rental can be used to pay for a trailer you buy.

Talk with Desert trailers in Phoenix, Az. Buy/rent large selection. I was impressed, and nothing impresses me.
