Does tmc transportation do hair test or urine test and I have have heard mcelroy trucking lines does a hair test that go back sixty days can anyone confirm these two question for me please need answers soon as possible

 

This is all very true. I drove a box van for Lowe's. I got tired of it and enrolled in truck driving school (paid 4 grand out of my own pocket). I made it out in 3 weeks with a cdl and worked at a tow truck company for a few weeks before getting on with a local company who delivers product to convenience stores. I am off all weekends and home every day. They have me on a straight truck until a tractor trailer route opens. However, just for having the cdl, my guaranteed minimum is $650 per week no matter what. Anyone who has signed on with the mega carriers will be able to confirm that they dont make that much for at least the first year (especially after my bonuses), they aren't home very often at all, and the part that angers me the most is that all the other people in my school were paying 7 grand for the same training i was paying 4 grand. The companies jack up the price and then give you a "credit" after your contract time is up. I don't think it's fair at all, especially considering a lot of new grads don't make it the first month OTR. I am able to work for whomever i want and im home every single day for pretty good money. If i could've gotten on with FedEx Freight on the dock i would've used the suggested method and only paid $200 for my cdl but still i guess win some lose some. Anyways, just wanted to share. I feel sorry for the good people that are being taken advantage of by the mega carriers with the whole truck driving school system. Fingers crossed FedEx accepts me for the driving job i applied for with them

That OTR thing sounds crazy for me ,in my situation it is like very hard to do
So i was thinking of some other means to get considered without having to do it
I'm recent grad in Atlanta with all endorsements
Just hope i can find somewhere to put myself in ,I dont expect a lot of$$$ just something fare enough.
