I usually don't mind what other people do. I think people should be able to do what they want as long as they are not hurting or bothering anyone else, for the most part.

Personally, I don't like the smell of smoke either, and don't think that non-smokers should have to smell your cigarettes. I'm not saying ban smoking, just do it some where else, and instead of crying about the non-smokers.

I'm not talking about being able to smoke EVERYWHERE....read it again.....I gave the example of being able to smoke in a bar.
Non-smokers have the luxury of being smoke free everywhere....why can't smokers have ONE establishment where they can smoke.

Here's an idea....make smoking in bars legal in all states....and for those that can't handle it; STAY OUT. You know there's gonna be smoking, and if you don't want to subject yourself to it, you don't have to go in there.

Give that to me---and I PROMISE I will not come to your church and smoke.

Seriously; it is not that big of a deal for me (I don't go to bars)....but you whinney non-smokers are such baby, baby, cry baby whimps, you forced me to explain my example.

And before you say "Oh, so now I can't go to a bar because I don't smoke"----YES, you are welcome to go anywhere you wish----just be prepared to have someone in the room light up a cigarette, and don't cry about it. It is ONE facility out of millions.

I can understand having some bars smoking, and some are not. Then I'd choose the non-smoking bar, you can take the smoking one, and everyone is happy.

It's too bad the government or insurance companies can not make cigarettes illegal. Sometimes they do need to step in to keep fools from killing themselves. After all, that's why we all must wear a seatbelt.

Stupidest thing I ever heard. Yet another sheep willing to let the Government live his life for him. Sad.

P.S.- I've known two people who died in two different car accidents. One because he was NOT wearing a seat belt. And one because he WAS wearing a seat belt. Think before you spew nonsense there "ChiefofPolice".

re: The smoking in bars deal.

What I object to is the government (state, local, national) telling private businesses whether they can allow smoking or not. Leave it up to the owners to decide if you can smoke on/in their private property! Bars for smokers, bars for non-smokers. Everybody wins, and everybody has a choice!

I completely agree about keeping the government out of it.

Let us choose what we do on private property as long as we're not hurting anyone.

If some bar or restaurant allows smoking, then I'd probably go somewhere else.

If people want to do bad habits that ends up killing them, then that's fine by me, as long as they aren't putting anyone else at risk.

Allowing government to make those choices for you will result in loss of all choices eventually. Anyone remember that movie where table salt was illegal cause its bad for you? And yes we're already heading in that direction, just look at some of the NY laws created over last few years. Is that really the type of reality you want to live in where the government dictates what you can eat, how much you can eat, etc? Ok I better stop here, this could go on forever.

Just say no to government control. Don't be so willing to give up your freedoms. Common sense getting so rare these days :(

#1. If aimhigh was already employed with a company whom rumor would have it; is deciding to install forward-rear- and or voice monitor cameras in their trucks, this is what aim high would do: a. he would contact the safety department to verify that the rumor is indeed fact: b. he would then request to OPT-OUT of it: c. if this is mandatory, he would request to go up the chain of command, requesting to OPT-OUT a second time (PLEASE NOTE: BY THIS TIME AIMHIGH WOULD ALREADY BE CONTACTING OTHER COMPANIES FOR EMPLOYMENT!).

#2. aimhigh has already expressed his feelings about the Mental State of the American Male in previous post in other threads. Aimhigh wishes to express his utmost regrets that the French Truckers (their collective courage and bravado-ity) mental make up does not even exist here in the blue collar trucking sector of the USA............NEWS ALERT-" and now the entire Arkansas (Rep.) delegation and a Wisconsin lawmaker have introduced bills for hair testing of truck drivers........." I mean like......................... when does this stop drivers! ..................................................... when? Will legislature's ever tire of changing the hours of service particularly the 34hr reset?

#3. aimhigh would not even consider working for such a company as I agree with and thank White Dog and HappyHardCore and a very few others: btw- not only do I to, listen and subscribe to Alex Jones InfoWars/PrisonPlanetTV (he has some of the best guest on of all media outlets)- I listen to and or follow --
RTnews- RepublicNationalBroadcast (some of the host)- Jeff Rense (some)- DrudgeReport- WideAwakeNews- BreibartNews... cannot even look at CNN/Fox/NBC/ABC etc anymore.

#4. for evening stating what is obviously going wrong here, aimhigh regrets that this post .... will probably be.....well you know! Therefore I ask the moderators; who is really on the side(in defense) of the modern truck driver? Who! "cause it ain't ooida or ata!"
