U need 2 be looking at old dominion, estes, yellow, ups, fed ex, or 4 a warehouse hand unloading to convince stores. For a major carrier don't hold breath unless they have dc there u could drive day cab but majority of time they give those jobs 2 the older drivers or friends of people that make that option available good luck in yo quest.

There's some good paying freight out of your area for short haul both for van and reefer. I saw your other post about what kind of trailer to buy; I only know van and reefer but I see a lot of flats running around in east Texas and Louisiana too. I think for good paying short haul freight you may be better off with a flat and lease to an oil field hauler like ACME or similar.

ok thanks ill check them out

I can see it with "good" freight the shorter trips pay more per mile you just have to figure out the break points for distance and price drop.
$4.00 a mile from Tulsa to OKC (100 miles +/-) isn't uncommon for flatbed freight. -
yea that will be real good and i was thinking of getting a flat bed are reefer

I'm in Tulsa...where are those loads/rates originating and ending? I am getting a truck soon and am looking to stay in the area while working. PM me if needed.
