You can leave a safe distance all day long in heavy traffic.4 Wheelers will take it,then slam
    on brakes,and hope you stop.
I put up with it daily, but shame on a unprofessional trucker for rear ending an innocent
law abiding professional auto driver. This mindset really gets old.
Maybe he was negligent, but its not ALWAYS the case.
Heavy traffic city drivers are nasty pos people.I can spot a cut off before it even happens.
Exit coming up,and idiots lined up to stuff me at every opening that will fit a car in.:biggrin_25513:

I backed over a police car back on March 10th 2013 and it was posted on my MVR last month. it takes AWHILE but it wont hurt you now. as long as they don't check.

I'd hire a lawyer. One who specializes in trucker traffic tickets.

What you say in your 1st sentence is very, very true...BUT , the professional driver is always , always, always...did I say always , in the EXTRA ALERT mode when he's driving in even moderate not to mention heavy rush hour traffic conditions. This is where the old adage "expect the UN-expected" really comes into play. Not only does the professional driver monitor conditions in front , behind , AND beside him...he must always expect someone to do something stupid..most times not because they are trying to ( it may seem like that though) , but because they simply don't have the knowledge or experience to make sound choices while driving....life , work , kids etc , all compound this...and we as professionals MUST be prepared to deal with it on a PROFESSIONAL level and with the correct attitude.

This mindset...( as you call it ) I have described above doesn't ever get old...it is what keeps you and everybody that you come into contact with with every revolution of the wheels on your truck , safe and able to get home , to school , to work...or just out for an evening drive with friends alive.....OPUS 7 might need to re-evaluate your attitude a bit.....you'll live longer!
