Well I understand that 3 of their key dispatchers just quit.
Friend of mine also called and told me, his wife is starting there Monday as a permit person.
These were 2 different phone calls -

They haul equipment and steel. Have accounts with Deere and CNH. Just built a new terminal in Orion or Colona, IL (can't remember) and have drop lots/terminals in GA, MD, and one out west in the Dakotas or NE. They've made growth a real priority and now have over 150 trucks (maybe closer to 200 now days). They run late model pro-stars and dabble in a little bit of everything (dry van, step, RGN, flat, and heavy multi-axle stuff). I've seen a number of their drivers have blatant securement issues which leads me to question either the level of training they receive or the level of oversight from management. Growing pains I guess. Overall that's what I've observed not a bad company. I don't know anything about key personnel quitting but I haven't talked to any of the Tennant boys since March at the TCA conference.

Thank you for getting back to me on this I appreciate all of the info from all of you. I've been made an offer and am trying to decide what to do

I don't like them because as a broker they always offer me terrible rates on tractors out of Baltimore. However, I was in their Colona facility to pick up a load through Mercer the other day and it looks like they have decent equipment and I also notice they have a lot of older drivers. I usually figure if a place has a good percentage of experienced drivers they are probably treating them okay.
From what I've seen most of the stepdeck stuff they haul is pretty light and no tarp. Might be a pretty good place to drive. -
Cool yeah that does sound good. Having guys stay around a place does tend to speak well
-
another plus, since most of their stuff is agricultural. Well, like you're not going to be delivering to downtown Chicago or Atlanta when you're hauling a tractor or tillage equipment. lots of small towns or outskirts of cities I would imagine.
All I know is if they're paying their drivers decent and buying equipment and yards and things then they're making enough on those loads to offer me some better rates !! lol. -
True good points

Not always true about city delivery i dropped in atlanta running with hunt
