We use mostly Loves... Points X4 plus you get FREE refills of hot and cold drinks, plus free showers. The price difference from the J/Pilots are minimal and we make that up with the free refills (we drink A LOT of coffee/tea). We also find that (for the MOST part) the showers are cleaner than the J/Pilot. TA/Petro usually has the 'full service' thing ... Restaurant, laundry etc. but you pay for that at the pump too.

What is it. Like a certain amount of gallons to get the extra points/free refills?

Delivered at kfauro. No mt. Go over to kfaur. First mt I hook up to has a note on it that says will not start. So my conscious says. No. Don't ignore it and grab another mt. You better fix it. Karma and all. You wouldn't someone else ignoring it. (Even though I'm sure half the drivers out here would) Oh well. more ta reward points at the shop I guess.

Yep... I would have to look at a receipt to tell you where the break off is, but I don't have one handy...

I don't drink coffee or soda, and showering at the love in GA on 75 x201 has scared me off of loves showers when I don't have to. Cheapest fuel for me, which is usually flying pilot. I also USED to like them because you can spend points for wifi, but their wifi has gone from marginal to useless.

Thats why I was leaning towards ta. I don't need more soda. Lol. But then again I suppose they have non carbonated drinks in that machine.

i had no idea loves was free showering. i dont always fill 50 gallons. so sometimes i get screwed if i stay out a day or so.speaking of pilot. the pilot in minooka has maybe 15 trucks in the street trying to get in. literally coming off the i-80 ramp. why are the truck stops, blue beacons busy lately? oh and the week after christmas is it usually busy?

everything within 100 miles of Chicago is busy. There's a ton of freight going in and out of there! I fuel at the Love's too. I call it the grown up truck stop. Not a lot to do bit but your drinks, get your fuel, and take a shower. They do have a sometimes better gift shop for last minute presents too. They're quieter at night and I've never seen lizards or shady characters at Love's. There was a driver shot by security in Dayton the other day but I'm never in Dayton so there ya go... Lol

Drop into a 76 truck stop. You can see them a mile away because of the big orange ball.

You won't get rewards points, but here's what you will get:

A dirt parking lot. Yes, dirt. But no litter, no pee bottles, and no trash. Just professional truckers going about their business.

Once inside, eat at the "Professional Drivers Only" section. You receive priority status because they know you have to get back on the road. The waitress will remember your name from last time, and if you are on a dedicated route then she will know what time to expect you.

You won't get a large selection of menu items, but they will be home cooked and delicious. The entire staff at the truck stop will be happy to see you, from the kid who sweeps the sidewalk up to the owner. They know the money you spend goes to their families.

When you leave, make sure and say "goodbye" and tip generously. What comes around goes around. You will leave there knowing that you are in a well respected and difficult job. The meal and the service made your day better.

    .....

Oh, Sorry Buckeye! I forgot that this is 2013 and those truck stops are long gone. I was feeling nostalgic. But ask some of the older drivers and they will tell you that this is the way it used to be.

    Good times.
