Thanks for asking Chewy. I have some loose ends to take care of at home before I go OTR. I've talked to recruiter and they will hold my app for a couple of weeks.
    What's up with you?

Still working on an update. Everything is on hold for a few more days. I've been in contact with a KKW driver and he has answered a lot of questions for me regarding KKW. I am 99 percent sure I will hook up with KKW due to the answers that he provided. He just finished his training and got his truck today. He's solo NOW. My recruiter has been helpful however...I'm not so naïve that I believe everything a recruiter tells me. But answers coming from a current driver holds a lot more credibility to me. After all, recruiters (I believe) get paid by commission as well as salary. In fairness I should mention that what the KKW recruiter had mentioned to me seems to be true. In addition, I should also mention that I have contacted other previous drivers (KKW and Watkins Shepard), in this forum that have been very helpful as well. I'm talking about people in the forum that have nothing to gain by answering my questions but yet it appears that they are sincere in their answers (both pro and con)...about any questions about KKW and/or Watkins Shepard. Thanks to all of you!! This forum ROCKS!!!! I'll be in touch.

I live closed by where KKW yards are…I started reading the blog and thought cool I am going to go and apply for a job there, main reason is I a newbe and don't have any OTD experience. I kept reading until the wife said he's being treated wrong. I always thought truck driving was a decent job, but everywhere I read about the truck drivers it seem that companies just don't have any respect for them. I don't know anymore< I've been unemployed for more than four months and as a last recourse I went and got my license but like I mentioned maybe trucking is not for everyone. I too don't want to go out of state and leave my family for days just to bring pennies home. thanks for the posting and I hope things got better for him

You have to think about forums a bit differently... Most guys that are making it and are having good experiences with companies are making miles and money and don't have the time or interest in posting about their life. Those that are not on the other hand have plenty of time to sling mud...

That being said trucking like life is what you make of it, and there are good and bad days. You are dealing with alot of different personalities from owners to dispatchers and other drivers, so how you deal with people can effect your income also. Attitude has alot to do with how things go for you also, and as a new driver you may have to do some crap work until you prove yourself.
