is anyone using this card? I would like to apply, but I don't like the fact that I have to provide my checking account number, I feel I won't have control over how much they can withdraw, what if there's a glitch? Is it a pretty secure system? I applied prepaid but it is a hassle to put money into it.
Thank you for your opinions! =)

I don't think it's a big deal, but if it really bugs you then set up a second checking account and just transfer what you want them to access.

Well if its anything like Fleetone card I use via NASTC, then they probably wont want to use any credit card for payment, because of commission issues.
I've never had a problem with them accessing my bank account, works very well for me, but the obvious solution is to set up a separate bank account just to accommodate your fuel purchases. Then transfer the money to satisfy the weekly bill.
Good luck. -
What is the advantage in using a fuel card? I use my credit card that has high limits in truck stops that charges the same for credit or cash, like the QT in Ft.Worth, Tx. I am interested to know the advantages or not and if there is savings involved, which one is the best in the market so I can apply? Thanks for the answers ...

I also use my VISA for fuel but can't always find a place where cash and credit are the same price. As far as I know the specialized fuel cards provide deeper discounts than cash pricing. They earn their dough by keeping the difference between what they buy and sell the fuel for.

I would suggest contacting RTS Carrier Services and get a Fleet One card through them. You will get 8 cents off the cash price at TA/Petro, 6.5 cents off at Pilot/Flying J and discounts at Sapp Brothers and independents. No annual fee, $6 monthly fee and pay within seven days.
We liked Comdata better, but they instituted a $60 per month fee in October which wiped out any fuel savings we were getting. However, TBS Factoring Service is now offering Comdata, any may want to check with them, too. -
