Stopped at Pilot mm29 on 75 in Corbin Ky last week for coffee, heading south. Got back on heaading north. What makes it so bad is I was on the phone with my wife and told her at mm 46 that the dot messed up the road signs because the numbers were going up, lol. Figured out I was the idiot not dot and turned around at 71 or 72. Oh yea, green light at scale just before Corbin first time through and pulled in for log/paperwork check second time. They probably thought, look at that idiot, he just came through her a few minuets ago, he must be drunk..lol Good thing I get paid for each mile because I went 69 out of route.
OK experienced drivers, post your most recent rookie mistake!

Locked my keys in my truck in NJ Turnpike service area, no spare key. Bought a tool to unlock it in the store. (Must be a common thing there). Cost me $20 and a ton of humiliation..
Left the hose tube door open on a tanker and drove from Carlisle Pa to Augusta Ga and surprisingly, both hoses made it.
Tried going down a 35mph hill at 70mph while arguing with my wife over the purchase of a vacuum cleaner. (Hey $2500 was on the line). At the turn at the bottom I realized what I'd done and threw the phone down, stood on the brakes (yes they got VERY hot) and went around a 30 mph turn at 55mph. She got the vacuum cleaner and I had a good laugh after a few beers at home.
There's more, but I'll keep that for my memoirs lolSheepDog and Warren Earp Thank this. -
Let me guess she never cleans the house either -just likes to buy expensive things. -
I feel for you. My wife bought a $2000 vacuum over 10 years ago. I was flabbergasted. BUT, the dang thing is still going strong and is by far the best vacuum I've ever used. Uses water for the filter and every time we vacuum the house it is amazing how much dirt is in there even if we think the rug is clean.

American made vacuums are very high..

Never, not that I would talk about it on here anyways.
There is one though. I guess you can say this was kind of a lamey.
I hadn't had an accident in about.six years. Some have told me even greater, that they hadn't had one in in 11 years or so.
I've herd some say, never. Greatness.
Here it goes.
I had a dam lane violation going over the grape vine earlier this year. I got a little impatient after being slowed by some heavy trucks and decided to pass on the left out in violation, in lane two.
Payed to have that reduced, I'm actually still paying on that one. Gotta pay the fine.
Don't want any more either , I'd like to skip the drama of having to go through them.
It all comes done to money losses.
That's all I'll share, I guess even the best fall short at times right. Lol.
Good luck guys, enjoy the holidays. Drive safe.
Gotta be able to get home to appreciate the time.
You road dogs at home away from home out there. Take it easy and have a safe one.Last edited: Dec 22, 2013

Friday I delivered a grill to somebody, and for whatever reason I decided to go his street forwards. As as luck would have it, no where to turn around.
Had to back out about a mile. I usually back IN because I hate backing OUT so much.SheepDog Thanks this. -

I read them all and the guy who took his co driver on a 520 mile joyride wins. That's funny.
I hooked the red line to blue and the blue to red once. That took a while to figure out.
I got a double drop trailer hung up on the crown in the road once in Bloomville, NY. On Memorial Day. On the parade route.SheepDog Thanks this.
