Company Solo = No Freight?

I guess I should pipe back in on this thread. I very much appreciate the replies that were given and took them to heart. Did sd some communicating in house.

Runs have not been bad as a solo driver with PAM. If your DM isn't getting you loads, get a new DM. If you don't stay on them, or make sure they know you need a load, then yea you'll sit. I use my qualcom liberally when I'm waiting for a new assignment and generally get one pretty quick.
Of course the pay still sucks and PAM doesn't have a pet program (personal gripe) but so far it's survivable. Scraping by.

I've got just about 5 months left to complete my contract with them. Unless they jump me up to over 40cpm and add a pet program, I don't see myself staying. It could be worse for a first year driver fresh off the cdl mill, though, without a doubt.
I have had very good experiences with dispatch the past couple months (post the creation of this thread). They absolutely have gone out of their way to make sure things go well for me out here when they could have easily taken a back seat. My only trouble with keeping rolling has been shop time from the crap ### ProStar+s they run. My DM busted his butt to get me out of that rut, tho, when he could have given zero f****s and left me hanging.
So yea, it could be worse!

 

You can probably expect an average weekly take home somewhere between 300-500 depending on how you and your co-driver drive. Seems like PAM really doesn't like to hand out more than that to company drivers, team or solo.
