I call that activity a Cluster (T)ruck... a massive accident waiting to happen. Far better to lay back and not stick your nose in that stuff.

Nah Joetro & SheepDog,, we can put the popcorn away. :happy1: ;)
It's proven futile to come up with clear simple real life CB communication scenarios, only to have them categorically avoided & sidestepped.
The responding content is incorrect on so many levels, I'll just leave it be.

    blairandgretchen and SheepDog Thank this.

That's a little vague for me to focus on. The vast majority of the time I couldn't get a word in edgewise, and there wasn't much coming across it related to trucking. I remember having about 1000 miles under my belt and was heading E trying to make Fargo on a sheet of ice one night. Trucks bunched up, of course, me included, and a WB Swift driver took to the median going about 20 mph faster than anyone in sight. Drivers started congratulating him and telling him what a great job he did keeping it upright and I couldn't help but think, "What about me? I'm still on the road!" That's when I really started to wonder what I'd gotten myself into, this time.

Red herring by appeal to ridicule. Appeal to ridicule (also called appeal to mockery or the horse laugh[SUP][1][/SUP]), is an informal fallacy which presents an opponent's argument as absurd, ridiculous, or in any way humorous, to the specific end of a foregone conclusion that the argument lacks any substance which would merit consideration. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Appeal_to_ridicule

You might want to consider investing some time here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fallacies

    Here:
I could turn it on and try use it, because I never said it was useless, or that I didn't care to be bothered with having one.

Again, I could turn it on and try to use it, because I never said it was useless, or that I didn't care to be bothered with having one.

Happy? Was that so hard to infer from my pointing out your straw man wrongly credited me with declaring CBs useless?

Good for you Rookie!! I was a former trainer, and I always told my newbies anytime you feel uncomfortable for any reason, stop! I didn't care if it was weather, traffic, or anything else, just safely park. That's a bad trainer, and should be reported! Drive at your own free will, and when you think you can safely do so! Don't ruin your record because of that #######!!!
