Don said it can record both outside and in. That it would be used for hard braking events, lane departure warnings, accidents. Of course he states the inside camera would not be used, but for how long. Drivers your thoughts and concerns??????

Husband already has his own camera in the truck for the outside. Sounds like more baloney for the trucker to worry about if it is turned their way.

This is a blatant attempt to shift potential culpability onto the driver.

Well it's not like the dispatchers are driving the truck now is it. Hold on I have to go look up the culpability word.

    1. [h=2]Culpable - Definition and More from the Free Merriam …[/h]www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/culpable
Full Definition of CULPABLE 1 archaic : guilty , criminal 2 : meriting condemnation or blame especially as wrong or harmful < culpable negligence> — cul·pa·bil·i ...

I wouldn't release the brakes w/o my own video camera rolling. If the company wants to provide another 1 or 2, few things could make me happier... in theory, anyway.

Boyd has cameras in their trucks with the same setup. My bf was almost hit by a 4wheeler and hit his brakes hard. That's the only time his camera came on since he's had his truck. The company called him to find out his version of what happened and that was it. You know when the camera is on so it's not like they are sneaking to see what you are doing.

Your right, and its gonna work... When a driver gets in an accident while being recorded by the "In Cab Camera" and is found to be at fault due to being distracted... When the company gets sued for millions guaranteed they will throw the driver under the bus and the driver will be paying out of his ### the rest of his life.... Of course these cameras will help in some accidents providing the driver was " Hands on the wheel, looking ahead" but I think these are gonna hurt more than help...

The day my company comes to me and says they are installing an In cab camera in my truck will be my last day working there...
