Since your left knee is bad I'm guessing you want one without a clutch pedal, in that case I would go for a Eaton ultrashift plus, it has a hill start aid button that engages the clutch so that you don't roll back like you would be more likely to do with a regular ultrashift.
The main difference between the ultrashift and the ultrashift plus is the clutch that they use. The regular ultrashift uses a centrifugal clutch that engages as the engines rpms rise till it locks up around 1500rpm when starting off, a lot of drivers complain about the ultrashift because it takes awhile to get used to since you don't have 38th ever control of the clutch engagement like your used to. The ultrashift plus uses a electronically engaged clutch which gives it the ability to have the hill start aid that I mentioned before, drivers seem to prefer this over the regular ultrashift.
The other option would be a Eaton autoshift and it has a regular clutch with a clutch pedal so you start out just like you would with any manual transmission.

 

I drove a 2010 Volvo with an I-shift for 3 years.loved it and had no problems with it.Company moved me into a 2013 Casacadia with 13 speed Ultra shift plus and while not as nice as the I-shift I like it also and had no problems with it.In August they moved me into a 2014 Cascadia with the new Ultrashift 10 speed.I find this works nicer than the 13 speed.Also haven't had any problems.I have driven automated transmissions for 10 years now an wouldn't go back to a manual.My left knee doesn't hurt anymore and after 10 hours driving I find you are not as tired.

 

your choices are
Volvo I-shift nly in a Volvo with a Volvo engine, would be my 1st choice,
eaton fuller ultrashift: gen 1 with clutch pedal (used to start and stop ONLY) gen 2 what you had when you worked for usx, gen 3 same but different grograming (what bjytech said is right for the most part but the clutch locks up at about 850-900rpm's not 1500) it takes time to learn how to slip it when backing),
eaton fuller ultrashift plus: only thing I know about this one is it's the reason USX stopped getting auto's.....! all the 2010 usx had started to burn out clutches in the 1st 100k and when you have over 1,200 new trucks burn out clutches in less than a year, most in less than 6 months (teams get the new trucks)
