What is it with breweries? I have only had to haul 1 beer load load so far...thank god..and not out of Irwindale but Busch out of St louis it was one of my worst experiences. The guy loading the trailer was cool but all the security guards there were the worst #####, I swore I would never go back there again.

Perfect timing, I will be home those days and will be going down there to check this out. I have not looked at their website in awhile and would have missed this, thanks for the info.

Even though this thread is pretty much dead I feel I should finish off with my experience I had with ITS out of Sparks NV. I had left IDC (Interstate) which I feel is a good company and was looking for someplace where I could get home more so I went to ITS. I just left there after about 5mths with them and I'm going to Knight just down the road in Sparks for their 14on 7off.
I was getting home once every week for a 34hr restart but soon realized by the time I parked the truck at their Sacramento yard and drove my personal vehicle home 60 or so miles, slept, washed my clothes, ect. there was'nt much time left before hitting the road again. I tried to make it work they are a decent company to drive for no real problems and very friendly people to work for,I was in and out of the Sparks terminal all the time. The way they are set up maybe 48hrs home is all your going to get from them so I decided to move on.
You can make decent money and sometimes even get hourly pay at $20hr (my take home $675-$825 a wk) but they do only pay twice a mth not every week,if solo most likely will drive a Penske rental and they have alot of new trailers now. I ran paper logs and all dispatch was over the phone. I ran mostly from Sparks to Los Angeles or Bay Area and areas in between, sometimes out to Phoenix or Seattle mostly drop and hook but also had live loads and unloads. They have these Micheal Lewis loads which you have to unload yourself at the differant airports (Gategourmets,Sky Chefs,Flying Foods )which are their worst loads you have to do in my experience.
Basically, I think they are a really good company to work for they have some problems just like any outfit but they treat you good, pay is on time and they will put you in a motel when weather gets to hot or cold, when you would have to idle trk.I just don't want or need to be out as much as they and alot of companys want you to so I'm looking to get more time home, having 34hrs off is not hometime for me.That being said I still say they are probally one of the better places to work for if someone has been checking them out and was'nt sure, you could do alot worse. -

I agree. I am an employee running from Nevada to California . Some runs to Arizona but mainly to NV and CA. You get home weekly sometimes more frequently BUT
It's not valuable home time, its primarily sleep time. The pay is decent, the csa scores have been hit and the loads are slow right now. Maybe too much recruiting? The cut times are tight, almost impossible unless you speed which is a violation of company policy.
