The company I'm returning to runs a lot of Volvo vn 630's with a standard am/ fm/ CD player, basically a Delphi unit but it doesn't have the USB input like the Delphi units in other brand trucks. I bought an iPod cord designated for Volvo truck stereos through class8truckparts.com ,and I noticed the end of the cable has what looks like a telephone cord plug rather than a USB, even though the other end still has the flat iPod connection, has anyone else used that kind of setup?

I drive a Volvo and its got a USB and aux in connection. They're not on he actual stereo though, they're to the left underneath the red and yellow brake release knobs.

I had a 08 Volvo that had that plug IN THE DASH over by the bunk override switch......... it's made just for the ipod if your truck doesn't have the plug you can't hook in to it.... you can find a fm transmitter that will plug into the head phone jack like this http://www.walmart.com/ip/Scosche-FM-Transmitter/14666784

I was in for a pleasant surprise, I moved into the truck and found the company had been replacing the stereos with Panasonics that had the aux and USB ports built right in.
