Trust me, I wasn't either. I'm still not the best at it, but I got pretty proficient with it. Permanent knots are a different story. Didn't have to do those very often though.

I like the new ride and I want to see weeble kneeble on the side of it. :biggrin_25519: The weather in TX sure has changed. I flew into Dallas last Saturday and it was 68 and now it is in the teens. Got a wally world run first out of the gate. After 22hrs to get two picks it got better. Luckily, I can run the speed limits to make up the lost time, but the fuel mileage has suffered a bit. It has been terrible to start with, but now it is just awful. The last two tanks have been in the low 4's. Glad things are going good for you.

Thank you sir, glad to see you are back to work. And you're telling me about this weather, it's twice as warm up in Calgary. Who woulda thunk it?

As for the fuel mileage, that surprises me because your truck looks so aerodynamic lol. In all seriousness, the cold weather isn't doing it any favors.

I heard the high in Anchorage was 54 degrees today. Are you saying I shouldn't waste any money on Airtabs???? I had averaged 5.3mpg for December and was hoping for better mpg after valve adjustment. I guess pushing this fine piece of machinery at 77,000lbs at 75mph plus down the road results in bad fuel economy. At least it started up this morning when it was 7 degrees outside. I went to bed and it was 33 degrees and some wind gusts. I figured no need to idle all night, just used the bunk heater and got a nice surprise when I woke up to blowing snow and single digits.

I'm debating that tonight. I'm about to go to sleep and it's 20 or so degrees out, but the trucks idle at 15, and they want us to idle if the truck will. Bunk heater is on right now and I've got anti gel in the tanks. Decisions, decisions

And I thought you already Airtabs. Weird.

Have bunk heaters that work at all elevations and I don't need that APU unless I'm sitting which I haven't. Still allowed inverters, and there isn't really a limit. I have a 2000 watt and knew a driver that had a 3500 watt. Would it be nice to have, sure, but we all survived before them didn't we?

Just as I sent in my empty call, dispatch calls me to let me know that I'm picking up steel in Blytheville, AR going to upstate New York. I can't wait to see Oregon's definition of upstate NY.

I went to school in Westchester county and people called that upstate. It's only 30-45 minutes north of the city too lol.

Well dispatch said to be here at noon, checked in at 1130 and was told my appointment was at 1700. Yay. Not terribly upset because if that does happen I'll get detention plus the miles. I'll deliver this in Conklin, NY on Monday morning, putting me at 3700+ miles, plus accessory pay, some hourly pay, and now it looks like detention pay. I won't be able to do much more than deliver and pickup on Monday anyway, got 24 hours left until I get hours back Tuesday.

Edit: Just got a call from dispatch, they apologized for the inconvenience, and told me that they got my appointment time bumped up to 1500. Also said that they can see the load schedule and if any appointments earlier than that drop out, they'll pick it up for me. I love it
