    ( The Worst )
We the ( company ) drivers are on clean up duty about every day. The Avalanche of problems rolled down hill. Have limited Intel and 5 different sides to the story. The face of the company, Think on the fly and try to make everyone satisfied. ( work out the problem to your personal benefit, not easy ) it's your license not anyone else's !

    ( Hate )
Boogers! No center rear view mirror to check for boogers driving down the road. :biggrin_25519:

Totally nailed it chcknwing! The trend at our company wasto hire an unorganized operations manager that new nothing about a truck and no concept of time and no problem sending you out in the country to deliver a big screen tv to a drunk in a trailer court. The other mandatory requirement was to hire a warehouse manager that didnt have a CDL so you could shag trailers for him when you're ready to go home.

The worst part of my trucking career is dealing with all the other idiots on the road.

Ha ha, Somebody was asking on here if a 20 year old truck with 700,000 would be a good deal for $5,000. He was ready to be a road warrior.

    Dinomite and Shaggy Thank this.

For me it's been getting my first job.
    So far:
Two have told me my un-accredited discount school was not acceptable.

One said I was not qualified to hire, but offered me the most god awful lease I've ever seen.

One said , no problem, you can take the tuition reimbursement and attend our school with it.
I read the form and it actually was a loan, against an advance, I'd have to pay a lot more back, if they
did not hire me, or I failed to drive so many miles in three years, and stay for three years.
Two offered to let me drive Class C, if I put a gooseneck adapter on my truck and purchased a trailer and paid for my own Dot# and insurance...basic's be a class C O/O

..and I've been told 230lbs is to heavy for my height..

Oh to the comments above about incompetent office people:

I respond to we're looking for student/recent/no experience. They call and say they are only hiring experienced drivers??

I was set up for an orientation, I had to reschedule it, they called me two days latter , not noticing I hadn't showed up, to tell me I had to pay for the hotel because their insurance turned down my training, so they weren't able to hire me. This was the same person who told me non-accredited school was ok and rescheduled me.

I called a local place, they said come on by we'll talk. I got there and the receptionist told me were no longer taking apps. A little conversation reveled they forgot to tell the recruiter/HR person.

Looking my like career will start and end with the job search!!!

This thread certainly has some funny stuff on it... and I'm surprised nobody has yet to mention all of the forced 3rd Shift dispatches that seem to be so common. Some guys love it, but I can't stand back-to-back 70+ hour weeks of forced 3rd shift runs.
