I want to purchase one for my 09 Volo isx engine. I read about the ops , spinner 2 , fs2500 any others? Is the ops the only one that removes liquids. I just don't like how it only filters down to 3 microns. Any input is helpful.

Have you looked at the Gulf Coast system? I have it and as far as liquids go (I assume you mean h2o like condensation) nothing shows up in my samples as far as acids. That OPS with the heater to burn off moisture seems to me for local stop and go delivery trucks as any road truck would burn off moisture naturally through crank case ventilation from the consistent temp of the oil in my opinion.

I bought my GCF2 off ebay for $150, spent another $100 on braided stainless hose and AN fittings at a speed shop and fabricated a mounting bracket myself to mount it under the hood of my 379. Best $200+ I ever spent because I now have solid piece of mind about the health of my engine with in depth oil analysis every 10k miles:

A friend of mine is a big fan of the Spinner because he doesn't have to spend money on filters for it.

How much your filters and how often do you replace them?

I replace them every 12k and the filters are 2 rolls of paper towels, so a couple of bucks. I am currently using the Gulf Coast filters which are paper towel rolls wrapped in some sort of fabric which are $100 for a case of 6.

Luber Finer makes a good filter, the 740D is the best of that group. It has limestone in the bottom to kill off the acid built up in the oil. It is big and heavy
Luwi67, I have not seen that set-up for years, if it works for you that is great. I worked on a Cummins 1710 NA that had a bag filter longer than that, we called it the elephant tampax, it had a cotton filled bag.
A spinner filtration system is the best I know of, it filters out the small particles, if installed properly. You want the one with the air preasure activated float in it.
    Just a thought!

I've always wondered about these http://dieselcraft.com/. No filters, you just remove the cover/bowl and clean it out. Plus it filters to 1 micron or less.

That is basically like a Spinner 2 centrifuge. The newer Spinner 2 units have a replaceable plastic cartridge that can't be cleaned. You just trash it and throw in a new one. The plastic cartridge is the same one that the newer Paccar motors use for oil bypass filters.
