The lease at Taylor/Gibsons is also about $4800 for truck/trailer permits, etc. 2yrs crude experience is new to me. They used to only require 2 yrs truck driving. Tiga, Shuler, and Bridger all have similar programs but different pay scales.

I am pretty sure if you had 2 yrs driving and were willing to move to Carlsbad, NM they would hire you asap.

I just called them back, they will take a person with 2 years driving experience no matter how much crude they've hauled. But, there not taking anyone from San Antonio at this time

O/o with the lease program. You can bring your own truck/trailer but they have strict requirements on them. I was in San Antonio two weeks ago. Nice place to live with your family.

Can you really make a living leasing a truck from someone like Gibson? Since they handle getting your loads and dispatching, it's obvious they also must negotiate the rates for hauling the oil. If they want to lease trucks it would seem they may not have the best incentive to get the best rates for drivers as they will make money on the back end by leasing the trucks. No loads=no leased trucks. Am I missing something here?

My boss leases a couple trucks from tiga and he's making really good money. And that's after paying 3 drivers he's still getting a real healthy cut. I'd say 7 to 8 grand every 2 weeks going into his pocket baring any huge problems. Ie major break downs or no loads.
