chances are a power mic will help you get out better, BUT it all depends on whats been done to your radio, i know if i use a power mic with one o my radios ill sound a lot worse than using a stock mic because of the mods it has. if it was only slight peaks and tweaks chances are a good power mic will help, i know the astetic road devil noise canceling power mic is a GREAT one... yes their are better but why spend a hundred plus on a mic when that mic is great.

Does the Uniden Elite have the "ergo styled " mic ? If so , IT IS a noise cancelling mic. They are not quite as good as an Astatic or Road King but, none the less they are really quite acceptable. If your cab is not extremely noisy, these mics do a pretty good job. I own three of them & have been pleased with them they are DEFINITELY a step UP from Most stock MICS !

Power mics do not help you get out better....
They just create a higher modulation on the carrier signal.. simply making it louder.. and in some cases can even lesson the distance one can "reach"..

I personally like the Road king, but the Asatic does well.. Now in order to get great sound out of your CB you will need the mic tuned to "your" CB.. A good CB man will know how to do this "correctly".. many claim they know what they are doing but maybe 5 % actually do..

RoadKing56 is the way to go. Used all the rest, and always failed..
