Yesterday I just went thru about my 8th Rand McNally 7" screen, they all had the same problem first it was the usb port, then the screen went off, it was doing this for weeks now. So I looked up the Garmin DEZL 760LMT 7" screen, i like it and all but i have to start getting used to the new screen set up. I really like the features such as weather info (extra cost) and voice command. It ran me about 430$ after taxes but I think its well worth it. My question is how do I look for truck stops en-route on the new Garmin?

I have one similar , but its the 5 inch version , I like the feature it has , like split screen and soo on .
Either way they all use the same mapping input data.
Definitely a decent one . -
When you hit the "where to" button, it should bring up another screen. 1 of them should be labeled, Points of Interest. Hit that one and on the next screen, should have a trucking button, hit that. That should take you to the trk stop screen. Most of the stops you'll get, will be the big chain types.
tangerineGT Thanks this. -
I love that feature !!!!!!
It shows rest areas too. Sooo sweet.Panhandle flash Thanks this. -
When you punch trucking icon truck stops it will be set on location you hit the tab that is in the upper right hand corner"nearby" and it will go to a sub menu that has surrounding area, destination, en route hope this helps

I like my Garmin's. Always have. The truck stop feature doesn't seem to me anyway to work correctly. It will point out the truck stop but it points with an arrow. I want to know which is the next truck stop on my route, not something that I can find if I turn off and go out of my way. I think that is also what the OP is asking and I do not have the answer.
I love the HOS stuff and the Fuel Tax stuff. -
BTW this feature will also list rest areas and weigh stations and there current travel distance. -
Panhandle flash Thanks this.

Garmin doesn't limit theirs to just towns. Wouldn't mind that so much.
