    Texas bugs:

On FM237 heading SE in the Meyersville area: it has about 3 90* turn warnings within a couple miles (eg "turn right onto fm237") but the road is perfectly straight. The blue line remains straight too. However, there are side streets at each of those supposed turns so you could blindly follow it onto a small road...

FM236 heading SE into Victoria: same as above -- bizarre 90* directions given on straight road.

Also, even on this new map update it still wants to go into downtown Victoria rather than take the required truck bypass (at least on "shortest" route setting anyway).

I've never ran on shortest. I find the routes in shortest are always the "dangerous and iffy" routes. Like going through downtown somewhere because it's 2 miles shorter then going around. I always run in fastest. Shortest always seem to be slower too cause it goes through towns rather then around them so your adding time, stops, traffic lights etc.

From Yorktown (72) on FM 237 to FM 236, I could not duplicate the sharp curve warnings, same with FM 236 going into Victoria. Can you give me more details as to where on FM 237 and FM 236?

I will have RM GIS verify the truck bypass.

    Thanks,
    Mark

They started a couple miles after crossing 183/77alt on fm237 (& then fm236). They weren't sharp curve warnings -- they were directions to turn right in x-miles with a 90-degree arrow graphic. But as you got to the supposed intersection, the lane assist continued straight while the voice said turn right.

I usually take the fastest, but I do compare at the onset. Sometimes I'll add a waypoint to force the fastest to take a more shortest-like route...

In this case (Converse to Port Lavaca) fastest was 141 miles and shortest was 123 miles. The shortest route did have 5 stop signs and two short 35mph zones, but the rest was 60+mph so it was actually faster given my 64mph governor.

But shortest does do quirky thinks -- like taking a 1/2-mile 25mph surface street shortcut to save 100' instead of stay on a 70mph highway.

    Preferences/general/about - right side.

also Map version - Preferences/general/about/OS version (right side bottom)?

    Thanks,
    Mark

HI. Have a question. I bought a brand new TND-720LM this morning. I had the TND-510 and I really like the upgrade. I would like to know how to disable the logging feature on the gps unit. I am a company driver that uses ELOGS and I don't need to use the logging feature on the GPS. On the main menu, I have an icon that keeps telling me when it thinks I am moving and when im on DOT break etc. I want to remove that from the main screen. I could do it on my 510 but cant figure out how to do it on the 720. Thanks

Main menu/preferences/general/scroll down to update driver status- turn to timers inactive. I also turned the reset truck timers to manual. If that doesn't work do like I use to do and go to truck tools and turn all the timers to 0.

Thanks. When I go to Main menu/preferences/general/scroll down to update driver status- I have 2 options. "Automatic" and " Main Menu buttons" I dont have any options for timers. I have a setting for "Reset Truck Timers" that gives me 2 options. "automatic" and "Manual"
I went to the Truck Tools-Truck Timers and reset everything to 0 and it set off the warning about end of driving day etc...lol Doesnt apear to have any way tio disable them.

Turn it to main menu buttons, manual, an all timers to 0 . That should do it I think. I'm on a different version so I'm trying to remember what I did.
