Move over and get out of the way????:biggrin_25521: LMAO....I've done a lot of moving over for you guys ,but its been to the left to get around you. I can't recall ever having to move over to get out of your types way tho'...not by a long shot....You have the typical greenhorn attitude which is a shame being that Mick hit it right on the nail with the age thing.Your raising is showing through.RESPECT is what you need to get a little of and if you hook in behind an old chicken trucker out on the big road instead of this virtual reality here, thats what you'll get taught in a N.Y.C. second.Either in you trying to hang with one, mouth him on the radio or any other way at all you may fantasize about.....Either way he'll open the school house for you.And I stand by my earlier statement...If you wear a do rag and its not under a welding hood, you look like the business end of a rectal supository to me.Peace out and whatever else it is you school boys say to each other.

    TELL IT BROTHER, TELL IT!!!

I am sick of the attitude and looks of many of todays "drivers". This profession has been taken over by a bunch of gypsy hoodlums who have no respect for themselves or anyone else.

These guys wouldn't have been picked up hitchiking 30 years ago, now they are driving.

This is because large companies will not pay decent and will keep drivers on the road for months. Very few decent family men are going to be treated like this, so these morons are hired to hold the steering wheel while being told every move to make. They have no control over their lives, so they act like over grown children in public.

Reading in this forum the perils of new drivers and their slob trainers, I get sick to my stomach. There is no excuse for this industry to be like it is.

If the drivers I started out running with were still alive today there would be a lot of killings. Today's cats would meet a tire thumper up close and personal in the back corner of the parking lot.

New drivers may think I am being smart or talking trash, but any of the drivers from the 70's know what I have said is true, especially the part about the tire thumper for the knot head crowd.

Not all drivers are like that, but way too many are, and they don't even know who they are.

Face it. Trucking has become the profession of the desperate and the anti-social. Good people come in, but don't stay too long. Other good people have been here for years and can't or won't leave for various reasons. The good people are now in the minority.

The company I pull for treats OTR drivers who pick up or deliver there like cheap dirt. It really ticks me off, but most of the drivers I see really don't deserve any better. They can't drive. They look and smell like they died a week earlier and have refused to fall down. No professionalism or courtesy.

Unless you newer drivers wake up and look and act professionals you will never be taken serious or treated with even a little respect. Your actions makes it hard on all drivers, not just yourselves.

    Thats my rant.

I know Im gonna get some flak about this but I think children these days should do a mandatory two years in the service to learn respect and disiplin. I am not a driver yet but plan to be along with my wife and we will have nothing but high standards set to act and present ourselves in a clean and professional manner. As for the shorts and sandles thing, I will tell you that I am a contractor here in Kuwait right now and at temps that reach 120+ degrees F I do not wear shorts or sandles. When Im off work sure I will dress down but when Im at work, I have an image to uphold, not only to myself but to the company I work for. Your hygein and they way your carry yourself speaks volumes. I have been in enough truck stops and actually worked in a truckstop to know what you all are talking about. Actually I worked in a truck stop while I was stationed at Ft. Campbell Ky. as a second job. It was off of HY24. I was the guy that cleaned the showers and toilets and let me tell you somethin, some of these people need to get checked out!! I laugh about the cheato faced, corn fed, heffer in the silk jacket also, as I have seen it so many times!! For myself I plan on being the best dressed on the road :biggrin_25525:. Smell ya all later!!
