I'm thinking bout going to a homeless shelter and finding a guy who is mechanically inclined; for what the mechanics are charging me to fix stuff; I'd be ahead of the game to pay a guy a couple hundred bucks a week to ride around the country and be there when I needed him; have double bunks in here. lol It would be a win-win deal; he needs a place to sleep, I need a mechanic. weeeee lmao

That65, I find that insulting. I am old and wrench my truck. 58 is the new 58. No belly, well some, :) I don't like people I don't know putting hands on my truck. I can still throw a chain, tarp a load & drive all night. What I make is mine alone to know. Drive thru please.

I'm pretty sure the guy who doesn't have a roof over his head or know where his next meal is coming from would appreciate it!!! Doubt he would find it insulting; just not comfortable having a strange man in my proximity but sounded like a good idea!!! lighten up geez!!!

I think he's saying that if he paid himself $77,000 he would be paying too much income tax. He's probably paying himself less an leaving some in the corp to be taxed at a lower corporate tax rate. Just a guess.

1.48$/mile , pulling company trailer, they pay all permits, plates insurance ,ifta fuel tax: i,'m paying qualcom fee 14/week and 500$/ year heavy vehicle tax; average loads 20,000lbs ,automotive parts, mostly flat roads, most weeends home. I get 8-8.5 mpg; I get clear about ,80-85 cents/mile after fuel .Not much but truck is paid off, I spend some $$ on maintenance but flat roads and light loads don't kill the trucks.
    I'm happy!

There are lots of other costs involved including insurance! What kind of tires do you have? Do you have a new truck that doesn't need much repairs? I've heard a truck payment sometimes pays off rather than fixing up an old truck and getting bad mileage.
