what does that matter?, you dont need to live in the same city/state to pull for a company, but, I cant confirm this, but heard denney out of Denver, CO was pretty good

Watkins Shepard and buy an aluminum flatbed as theirs are steel with a 10 ft spread and 5 ft side kit You can get a good used one for 14 to 20K and write it off over 4-5 yrs then buy a new one. WS treated me great, gave discounts on fuel, and all maintenence and tires etc. I left due to injury and hired a driver but sold his ride from under his ### because he would'nt deliver ontime and would diappear for 2 days on his way somewhere. Their main route is Baltimore to Seattle but they have loads or will trade to get you home. In 4 years only had 1 complaint which was fixed immediately. They also used to give OOs priority in shop. http://wksh.com/RecruitingOwnerOperatorsFlatbed.aspx Do the math and you'll find out you'll make more here because you rarely sit over 24 hrs and they run you. Stay out of LA, that's where you layover. Some loads from Lafayette IN paid mileage and 40 stops at 45 ea and you could get them off in a full day and about 1/2 the next as they were all backyard machine shops and they'd yank it off in a hurry. Pull uo the section of side kit their box was on and they'd get it. I begged for those loads. Terminals have showers laundry and beds if you want to use them. http://wksh.com/RecruitingOwnerOperatorsVan.aspx

Robert Bearden Inc.. Cairo, Ga. And Valdosta Ga. Dry van . Southeast regional. They run into Fla. ..95/mile plus surcharge. I have a friend there . Stays busy. He says they are decent. They usually get drivers home every weekend. They haul alot of Lowes freight out of Valdosta. Also got a friend at Packard Channahon Illinois.. He likes them. Does about $1.75/mile on his odometer miles with his stepdeck. Mercer Louisville Ky. Got a friend at Mercer. He likes them. These are the companies I am considering. I have been looking for a good company. Seems like most companies have gotten worse. Hard to find a good one.
