This driver was on the right lane and had about 10 trucks pass him (maybe more I did not see) and nobody gave him a warning that his farthest rear top oak wood 4x4 was loose and weaving all over the place.
I got next to him and waited for a bit until he looked left and gave him the thumbs back. Lol

I on behalf of all flatbedders want to thank any and all drivers that have helped point this kind of issues out to any of us.
This not only helps us prevent an accident, but also keep us from tickets and damaged equipment (specially tarps)
    So thank you.

This is the reason I always keep my radio on even when the cb rambos and no panties crowd are out in force. If I've got a problem, I want to know asap.

I passed a tanker the other day, truck tandems on the passenger side were on fire, full flame, I hollered at him on the cb...no response, I had to hit him with the airhorn and wave him over. He stopped, I rolled on. I saw him get out in the rearview...hope he figured it out. I keep my cb on almost all the time. When some idiot gets on and just makes noise to do it, I cut it off for a few miles, but if there is something to know, I wanna know.

I dont know how many times I've tried to get someone on the radio to let them know something is wrong with their truck/trailer. Had one guy I got up beside and honked that never even looked over. I would rather find out from another driver that I had something wrong instead of finding out from Mr. DOT.

I had a truck pulling a bucket pass me the other day and his outside front drive was flat. I gave him a shout on the cb and did not get an answer. I was doing my normal 63 in a 70 and was not going to burn up a bunch of fuel trying to catch up to him to get his attention.(I was grossing about 90k) About 20 miles down the road I saw him on an exit ramp with two flat drives. If he had his radio on he might have saved the other tire.

We used a cb in our car eons ago, it was communication out in the country, etc. But when we moved back to the Gary, IN area in 78, we had to cut it off; we had a 3yr and he did not need to hear what was being said. It has gotten no better. I think they need to start fining people if they keep stuff up like that, back then you had to have a license to run one, maybe that is what they need to start once again. We had a base station also back then.

To me, it does not look like his securement was very safe on this load at all; too much chance for it to vibrate around and get away. Hope he did something better with it.

i tried getting some dudes attention in nevada headed for utah on the 80. the only lights he had working on the trailer. were the top front corners.

from elko to the stateline. lucky for him the port was closed. i hit the rest area and he just kept on rolling.

Securement is definitely questionable... I always try to have one or two straps/chains on the outside of the dunnage specifically to prevent stuff like this. Doesn't do any good to have a strap under the wood on the end since there's going to be little/no pressure on that wood if you have stuff like this where there isn't much weight on that last stick.

    TripleSix Thanks this.
