called UNIGROUPINC...
they have controlling interest in landstar
unigroup played their stock a few years ago - and pumped a lot of money into them...
in return landstar trucks are covering bookings for tradeshows now. -
Living in FL the company that has your inbound and outbound freight is going to be important.
Even tho Landstar is based out of JAX they do not have a lock on FL freight like you might think they should. -
Do you have a link to that? Far as I know LS is its own company. -
no link - but I know several united boys... I am on the cell phone now with one who gave me the skinny on the whole LS deal...
pretty reliable source
lemme do some more digging -
Please do, as I'm not buying without proof. -
Just talked with debbie at Inway - she says as far as she knows LS had some investments a few years ago with unigroup - but was not sure of the link between them...
I will see if I cant get something more concrete for your eyes... -
well crap Bricky - looks like I had some bad info...
soory about that guys..
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/mh?s=LSTR
seems that a few of the same players have cash in both - but there is no majority link. (once again - no pun)...
-
Oh well. Now you get to go Office Space on who ever gave you bad info.
-
nahhh - my buddy at United is a great source of info - and it was on memory of an old conversation that I posted....
come to find out he figures he had repeated bad info to me a few years back...
no biggie -
I saw one of their trucks (back to link america) this morning coming in from Philly... they must run way up the coast (thought the stuck down south)
