I am still there.
You should be good to go for your first trip. See how high the trailer rides and adjust it before the next trip it should be good to go from then on.

Let us assume, hypothetically, an individual decided a new truck was the way to go. Which would be better, lease or own?
-
definitely would not lease to do this type of work, mileage will go waaaaay over what is allowed in the lease agreement.

not sure what the stipulations would be on business lease but i would imagine money wise it would be higher to do that than to just purchase....again im no expert, hell i went against advice and purchased a new 13 ram to do this with, but ive always been leery about purchasing used vehicles, plus with some luck i can roll maintenance free (with the exception of routine maintenance which i will do myself) for awhile. Am i making a payment ? Sure am, but i was making a payment before i thought about doing this for a truck that didnt do anything but haul my butt to work. Do i have any plans of getting rich doing this? Absolutely not, but hopefully i can average out what i made working for a walmart distribution center without the "siberian salt mines " work ethics they had there. That is my bonus, being able to make a little money without worrying about production or someone staring over my shoulder all the time trying to write me up.

Most Transport companies pay the same or close to it. Its up to you on how you spend your time and money. You cant eat out every night and stay in motels.
One bad apple here shouldnt ruin the whole bushel.
All companies have a waiting list so dont let anyone tell you different!!
My driver # 16160......Bob The Builder!!!rowekmr Thanks this. -
Are you saying they have a waiting list for drivers wanting work?? That would be pure BS. There ads in hundreds of newspapers and Kijiji looking for drivers for RV delivery. Then add in the billboards that Camping World has ! More jobs available than drivers wanting to work. I wonder what the turnover rate is??
-
They do run a waiting list from end of October until February. And they have a very high turn over rate as far as driver's. Most people think they are gonna make a ton of money doing it. You can make a living doing it, and some do a little better than other if you kiss the right #####.but Bob the builder is right you can't stay in hotels and eat out all the time. But a 1.28 to a 1.40 a loaded mile is far from good money! I don't run for less than 2 bucks a mile and have more than enough work to keep me happy

Have any of you guys ever heard or seen anything or know anything about sitco comm & logistics??
