Sysco is the biggest, it just merged with US foods too so bear in mind those jobs at US Foods just became super volatile- My mother WAS a senior purchasing manager there and now she's looking for a new job if that tells your anything. Smaller in the NE are Maple-vale farms, Briden Foods ect.
Ever worked food service delivery?
Pretty tough job. Typically good pay, but it's commiserate with the considerably large amount of physical work you'll be dealing with- and the fact that you have to know the area you're servicing like the back of your hand.
Give us your location and it will be a big help. -
Without a doubt GSF.....worked there for over 30 years. Great pay great benefits ( health ins. , retirement plan ). Hard work however , lots of hands-on unloading.

At the DC I was at no shuttles. But that was in 2011. Don't know about now. Been retired since then.
