Except that pay is abysmal, i have yet to see anything bad. There's things that I don't like, but I am guessing it won't be any different with any other big company. Living in South Florida doesn't help on getting on something dedicated that pays better. A few more months and I am out.

Diesel exhaust fluid is supposedly animal urine with additives. It's why I asked. You'd think with "trucker bombs" being such a problem in this industry they'd have adapted the DEF system to use human piss or at least a certain percentage of it.

It's a much higher concentration of urea by percentage. I'll see what our Cummins rep says about it. I'm guessing you'll see the same problem, where the sensors will detect something's not right, and cause the ECM to go into engine derate.

They had looked it over when I called this morning, $6000 repairs. They are waiting Werner to approve it. Apparently, Werner wanted them to repair/recycle a DEF pump. Freightliner told them that, per manufacturer, they have to replace it. So last thing I heard the dealership was waiting for an ok to perform the repairs. Only thing I know so far is the approximate cost, mentioned above, 13 labor hours and that DEF pump. I am sure there is more to it than that, I will know when I pick it up (probably tomorrow).
