it couldn't be that this shutdown though small at the moment have gotten someones attention could it???? -
lower fuel prices is a dream,I want new broker laws that are enforced.thats where rate increase is at.
-
Sen. Clair McCasikill of Mo. is asking for input from drivers to form new legislation on brokers and companies that have skimmed our fsc., double or triple brokered loads or problems with lumper fees, detention etc. What ever else she can do to help us. Her number is 202-224-6154. Can't hurt. If enough of us call maybe something will get done. -
that is what we need i just called in support of this
-
On the national news the average ind. turcker is receiving 56% of the fuel sur charge.
-
56% isn't fair, as its the independant trucker that pays for the fuel. Not the broker. -
Jammer thanks. How about the rest of you? A call just takes a min. At least SOMEBODY is trying to help us. Show that we recognize the effort and get your politicians behind whatever bill she puts together.
-
While watching MSNBC for info on the trucker strike at he end of the interview of some drivers they through that number out. Thinking back they did not give their source for the info.
Brokers are not the only people getting part of the fsc the company that you are leased on with also get a piece of it. Look at your contract.
Do you have an opinion on a good company to work for??????? -
One of the companies that wants us to lease on to them, left a driver stranded in TX, shut off his fuel card. NO WAY would we put our selfs in that position.
We do have a broker, who is treating us pretty good, at this point. I'm sure that we could find something wrong if we looked, but we both doubt that the grass is any greener anywhere else at this point. So we are staying where we are.
I don't have a suggestion for you, because we are in a niche market, and have been since we started up in July. I'm sorry.
All I can say, is if you are going to lease on with someone, read the fine print and read it again. CYA at all times.
