My son wants to drive his truck at 45 MPH with the flashers on. There are several truckers wanting to follow suit. What are some of the problems this can cause. So far I think it's a good idea but my hubbys in the hospital so I'm a little too tired to think this through right now. These are the drivers who can't afford to lose their jobs and/or can't afford to shut down as O/O.

as long as their going the legal minimum this is a good idea to get the point across so go for it and show support any way that they can
-
Thanks Gearjammer. They're all talking about it and may have already started since I last spoke with him. 45 MPH will save fuel and cost the bad guys a few cents...............
-
The only thing I can think of is impeding traffic. The state police can issue one of those tickets any time.
-
They've never ticketed grandma for doing 50 in a 75. Why start now? -
as long as they are going the legal min.or OVER and in the granny lane they are perfectly legal
-
Yes, it would be legal. I don't know about the flashers on but even so, the ticket couldnt be too steep and most likely won in court too. It could back up some traffic on FM roads etc.
-
Far as I know, it's perfectly legal to drive 45 in a 65 zone. On our highways, it says "4-way flashers on under 42.5 mph" (it's in kilometers)
-
If two trucks are passing each other at minimum posted speed, I would guarantee there will be a ticket especially if it takes them a couple hundred miles. I'm not saying it's a bad idea. I'm just thinking of what ifs.

Those "what if's" is why I posted this Thanks for the heads up!
